The vision of Khuptong Paukhansuan  - SUAN

The story of how Hope Foundation Trust came about is in  our opinion nothing less than a miracle since we believe it was God Himself brought it into being.

Way back in 2001, Suan lost a very good friend (one of his classmates) who died as a result of drug abuse and HIV/AIDS. A number of Suan's friends were also affected by drug abuse. Because Suan believed that God had protected him  from the devastating effects of drugs and HIV/Aids, he felt God was calling him to work in some way with Drug Addicts. After some while he became very involved amongst the youth in his local church and was eventually elected as the Youth Director.

One of the first things that Suan used to do was to take some of the youth to local Drug Rehabilitation Centres in and around Churachandpur (Lamka). His hope was that seeing the effects that drug abuse had on people this would both discourage people from taking drugs but also get them involved in helping others.

So what is the problem with drugs and how did it come about.......
